There is a Blues in Every Corner (Bruno Félix):
>>Clic here for the original Portuguese Version<<

Inside every slap there is a blues that comes along
And in the eyes that testify a hungry every day
Within each dose which shortens life anyway
There is a blues in every corner just waiting for a song

It is in bare feet that bleed on the sidewalk
It’s in the painful body without a bed to lie on
It’s the hunger that persists as a nighthawk
There is a blues in every corner just waiting for a song

The news shouts everything without a feeling
While some poet waits for a light to be strong
Every day, cops are dying and killing
While the blues from every corner does not find its song

It’s in the body of the exploited girl without rights
And with that lack of education that makes life goes wrong
And all that stuff keeps screaming through the night
There is a blues in every corner just waiting for a song

Greed and intolerance kills
The poet is a worm crawling on the ground
At a banquet politicians are filled
I hear a blues at every corner, waiting for a song
